Tomkinson and ‘The Block’

Everyone loves to see shabby places made beautiful. Tomkinson Group is enjoying being a part of the land improvement action associated with the current filming of Channel 9’s “The Block”.

Stamoulis Property Group has engaged Tomkinson Group to undertake the Cadastral Surveying for their extensive townhouse project, a project that includes two heritage listed buildings. It is in one of these heritage listed buildings that the popular lifestyle and renovation show is being filmed.

Aside from the media buzz around ‘The Block’ and its renovations, the remainder of the Port Melbourne project is also an intriguing one.

The project, undertaken by Canny Projects, will consist of 287 premium quality townhouses on the former site of soap manufacturer Symex, and is scheduled for completion in late 2017.

The first stage will consist of 13 townhouses on the corner of Ingles Street and Munro Street, which is scheduled to be completed in early 2016.

The development will include triple storey three bedroom luxury townhouses, built in and around heritage-listed buildings on Woodruff and Ingles Streets, opposite the Port Melbourne Cricket Ground.

We look forward to seeing the reinvigoration of this area of inner Melbourne completed, as an example of both dynamic architecture and exciting residential use opportunities.
